Educator.

Born at Madrid Springs, New York on 18 December 1876, son of Wilbur Fisk French (1844-1897) and Carolyn “Carrie” Seger (1850-?), he came to Canada in the early 20th century and worked as a schoolteacher in rural Manitoba. Wounded in battle in August 1918, he was invalided to Canada and convalesced at a military hospital in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He later returned to Manitoba where he was the Principal at Dand School (1923-1924) and West Treherne School (1924-1925), after which he taught for a year at Melita School (1926-1927). He later taught school in northern Alberta (circa 1935-1945) and Steelhead, British Columbia (circa 1953) before retiring to Vivian. He died unmarried at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 5 April 1958.
