Memorable Manitobans: David Grant “Dave” Frayer (1941-2021)Lawyer. Born at Winnipeg on 5 August 1941, he spent 20 years as Director of the Winnipeg regional office of the Canadian Department of Justice, and was a military judge in the Royal Canadian Navy's JAG Reserve Branch, retiring in 1996 with the rank of Commander. He was made a Queen's Counsel (1983) and served as a Life Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba. In recognition of his community service, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal (2002). He and wife Jane had two sons. He died at Winnipeg on 8 November 2021.
