Lois Ellen Moffatt Fowler

Curler.
Born at Carroll on 18 January 1955, one of five children of Gladys E. L. Moffatt (1923-2015) and James Moffatt (?-?), she attended Carroll School and Souris School before relocating to Brandon in 1968. She worked at the Prince Edward Hotel and Suburban restaurant before marrying Brian Fowler in 1972. They had a daughter and a son before she became a real estate agent in 1983.
She became an accomplished curler, winning the Manitoba Scott Tournament of Hearts four times, Manitoba Mixed Tournament, and three Manitoba Senior titles. In 2015, she won the World Senior title at Sochi, Russia. In recognition of her curling records, she was inducted into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame (2003, 2016).
She died at Brandon on 28 September 2023.
