Dental surgeon.

Born at Peterborough, Ontario on 2 September 1861, he studied to be a dentist under the supervision of Dr. Neelands of Lindsay, Ontario then, from 1879 to 1882, with James Lee Benson of Winnipeg, who he assisted until 1884 when Emmons opened his own office. Periodically between 1887 and 1889, he received instruction at the Chicago College of Dental Surgery, graduating in Spring 1890.

On 11 June 1891, he married Ellen Jane “Jennie” McCrossan (1866-1942, daughter of Thomas McCrossan) of Winnipeg and they had three children: Mabel Emmons (1893-?), Edward Fred Emmons (1894-?), and William Frank Emmons (1896-?). Owing to overwork, his health broke down around 1904 and he left his practice, moved to Vancuver and, having regained his health, resumed a dental practice about 1906.

He died at Vancouver, British Columbia on 7 October 1911 and was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.
