William Jae Eadie

Municipal official.
Born at Winnipeg on 29 November 1947, he was a Winnipeg city councillor for the Deer Lodge Ward (1980-1992) and St. James Ward (1992-2006). He served as Deputy Mayor and was a member of many municipal committees. In the 1988 provincial general election, he was a Progressive Conservative candidate for the St. James constituency but was defeated by Liberal Paul Edwards.
He served as the President of the Manitoba Association of Urban Municipalities (1983-1984), Federation of Canadian Municipalities (1997), Canadian Capital Cities' Organization (?), and St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg (2018-2019). In recognition of his community service, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012). He and wife Rhoda had a daughter.
He died at Winnipeg on 29 April 2024.
