Chartered accountant.
Born at Winnipeg in 1932, son of Wasyl Dubuwec (?-1967) and Petrunelia “Polly” Hrushka (1902-1999)), he attended Kelvin High School and received his designation as a chartered accountant in 1956. He joined the Winnipeg office of Deloitte Touche, becoming a partner in 1967 and office managing partner in 1975, holding the latter position until retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Board of Examiners (1963-1967).
He and wife Alice had two sons and two daughters. For many years, he was the Official Agent for the Liberal Party of Canada in Manitoba. In retirement, he was a director of the Bank of Canada (1996-2002) and received a lifetime achievement award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (2002). He was active with the Manitoba Medical College Foundation, Joe Brain Foundation, Foundations For Health, and the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchial Council.
He died at Winnipeg on 25 August 2011.
