Dentist, community activist.
Born at Winnipeg in 1935, son of Dr. J. Diamond and Nellie Diamond, his early childhood and teen years were spent at Fort William [now Thunder Bay], Ontario. He attended the University of Manitoba, joined the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity (President, 1957) and received a BA degree in Political Science. He then enrolled in the Faculty of Dentistry and, while completing his studies joined the Alpha Omega dental fraternity (President, 1959).
After graduation in 1963, he operated a dental practice in Windsor Park neighbourhood of Winnipeg. He served on the Boards of the Winnipeg Dental Society (President, 1975-1976) and the Manitoba Dental Association (President, 1980-1981).
On 4 August 1960, he married Paula Roseman and they had a daughter and a son.
He died at Winnipeg on 12 May 2026.
