Educator.
Born on 16 December 1931, daughter of educator Mary Ruth Hartford (1900-1967) and Lord Beaudin (1894-1975), she grew up at Westbourne and became an educator. Her career included working as teacher at Deerhorn School (1949-1950), was Vice-Principal of River East Collegiate (1968-1970), and was Principal of Chief Peguis Junior High School (1970-1980). On 30 June 1956, she married fellow teacher Charles Fergus “Ferg” Cook (1930-1977) at Trinity United Church in Portage la Prairie, and together had one daughter; Michelle. Favoured pastimes included genealogy, gardening, and playing bridge. She died on 1 April 2014 and was buried in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
