Memorable Manitobans: Colin Clifford Chapman (1932-2024)

Cleric.

Born at Brandon on 4 May 1932, his childhood was spent on the family farm at Brandon Hills. He began studying for the Anglican ministry in 1961 and served as a priest at St. John's Anglican at Elgin (1961-1964, 1969-1970), St. Luke's Anglican Church at Souris (1964-1969), St. Mary Anglican Church at Charleswood (1970-1975), St. Mary’s la Prairie Anglican Church at Portage la Prairie (1975-?), and the Anglican Church of the Ascension at Stonewall (?-1995). He retired to Stonewall in 1995.

On 10 August 1965, he married Linda-Faye Clayton and they had two sons. He died on 1 July 2024 and his cremains were interred in the St. Matthew's Anglican Cathedral.
