Educator.
Born in the Cameron district on 26 April 1915, daughter of Hazel Viola Reed (1890-1979) and James McTavish Grant (1881-1959), she attended the Central Normal School then taught in one-room schools in rural Manitoba, including Deer Range School (1935-1939) and San Antonio School (1941-1944, Principal). On 30 August 1944, she married George Alexander Caughell (1912-1977) and they had three children. After her children went to school, she returned to teaching at Binscarth School (1955-1956) and Treherne and Minnedosa schools before retiring to Minnedosa where she died on 13 January 2022.
