Memorable Manitobans: Arthur Henry Copethorne Carson (1873-?)

Born Cork, Ireland, 29 January 1873, son of John and Jane T. Carson. Educated at Wesley College, Ireland. Began career in Provincial Bank of Ireland, Ireland, 1890. Came to Canada, 1903; with Allan, Killam & McKay, Winnipeg, 1903-1909. Engaged in present business, 1909. Married Mary O’Neill, Cork, Ireland, 1894; has one son and one daughter. Recreation: fishing. Conservative; Anglican. Address: Winnipeg.

In 1911, Carson was employed with the firm of Carson & Williams, financial agents, insurance, loans and mortgages, Union Bank Building, Winnipeg.
