Arthur Henry Copethorne Carson

Financial agent.
Born at Cork, Ireland on 29 January 1873, son of John and Jane T. Carson, he was educated at Wesley College, Ireland. He began a banking career at the Provincial Bank of Ireland in 1890.
He came to Canada in 1903 and worked with the firm of Allan, Killam & McKay at Winnipeg (1903-1909). In 1909, he established the firm of Carson and Williams which specialized in insurance, loans, and mortgages. Its office was in the Union Bank Building.
In 1894, he married Mary O’Neill (?-?) at Cork, Ireland and they had a son and a daughter. He was a member of the Conservative party and Anglican church. His recreation was fishing.
He died at Toronto, Ontario on 11 June 1944.
