Salesman.
Born at Winnipeg on 21 October 1903, son of John Rhind Carphin and Margaret McShane, he worked for 23 years as a salesman for the H. J. Heintz Company at Toronto, Hamilton, and Saskatoon before returning to his home town. He was active in recreational and athletic circles, being President of the West Kildonan Memorial Community Centre and an active member of the YMCA Businessmen's Club. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 31 July 1947 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery. He was survived by a wife, daughter, and son.
