Memorable Manitobans: James Herbert Bulmer (1867-?)Real estate agent. Born in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia on 11 August 1867, son of George and Fannie Bulmer, he was educated at Horton Academy (Nova Scotia). He commenced a general store business in New Brunswick, in 1880. He came to Winnipeg in 1902. He was a Member of the Winnipeg Board of Trade, vice-president of the Maritime Investment Company, secretary-treasurer of the Winnipeg Development Company, and a director of the Central Valley Land Company. He married Anna Fillmore of Westmoreland Point, New Brunswick in 1897. They had two daughters: Marion Bulmer and Evelyn Bulmer. Club and Society: Canadian; AF & AM. Recreation, tennis. Liberal.
