Memorable Manitobans: William Henry Bowler (1865-1929)Farmer. Born at Markdale, Ontario on 2 July 1865, he came to Manitoba with his parents in 1885. He worked as a brick layer for thirteen years, later taking up a homestead, farming and raising shorthorn cattle near Kaleida. On 24 April 1901, he married Mary Ann Seward (1875-1931) and they had two sons and two daughters. He served as a municipal councillor for eight years. He was a member of the Anglican Church. He died in 1929 and was buried in the St. Mary St. Alban Anglican Cemetery. See also:
