Business executive.
Born at Saratev, Russia on 8 December 1901, son of Johann Heinrich Borger and Katherine Sophia Bernhardt (1878-1944), he came to Winnipeg with his parents in 1902. He and his father established a construction company in 1919 and, in 1936, he became President of Henry Borger and Sons Limited (later Borland Construction). At the time of his death he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Borger Industries Limited, a Winnipeg-based business specializing in heavy construction and land development across western Canada.
On 29 July 1922, he married Barbara Leibrock (1900-1999) at Winnipeg and they had seven children: John Henry Borger (1923-1924), Donald William Borger (1925-2004), Ralph James Borger (1930-2011), Alan Andrew Borger, Gerald David Borger (1935-2023), John Henry Borger (1943-2008), and Barbara Borger (wife of ? Graham). He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
He died on 10 January 1976 and was buried in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
