Farmer.
Born in Renfrew County, Ontario on 5 May 1841, son of William Blair and Elizabeth McMunn, he left school at the age of 14 to work on the family farm. Around 1866 he left home to work in lumber camps until he came to Manitoba in 1890 where he purchased land in the vicinity of Franklin. On 17 January 1863 he married Jennie Black, daughter of James and Agnes Black. He died at Franklin on 27 June 1922.
