Lawyer.
Born at Emerson on 14 January 1890, son of James Joseph Bedford and Saloma Helena Studer (1859-1946), he was educated at Emerson School and Winnipeg Collegiate Institute. He then articled in law with the firms of Hough, Campbell and Ferguson; Hudson, Ormond and Spice; and Aikins, Loftus, Aikins, Millar and Fisher. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1920 then established a law practice at Gilbert Plains. He served as Solicitor for the Standard Bank at Gilbert Plains.
On 21 September 1921, he married Esther Helen Irwin (1890-1969) and they had one daughter. He was a member of the Manitoba Bar Association, Gilbert Plains School Board, Masons, IOOF, Presbyterian church, and Progressive party.
He died at Chicago, Illinois on 13 March 1957.
