Pharmacist.
Born at Dunnville, Ontario on 6 September 1887, he moved to Winnipeg and graduated from the Manitoba College of Pharmacy in 1909. He began working as a pharmacist then, in 1919, form the wholesale drug firm of Bate and Bate in partnership with his brother Ernest Hector Bate. He died at Winnipeg on 24 September 1986 and was buried in St. John’s Cemetery.
