Born in England in 1864, he arrived in Canada in 1902. He designed several buildings around Winnipeg, either alone or in partnership with Hugh Gordon Holman, but is believed to have moved to Tacoma, Washington by 1908. He died at Seattle, Washington on 21 July 1923.
