Memorable Manitobans: George Anderson (1869-?)
Farmer.
Born in Waterloo County, Ontario on 15 July 1869, son of John J. Anderson and Margaret Waugh, he worked on the family farm until he was 25 when he came to western Manitoba and homesteaded on 640 acres near Melita. On 9 February 1905 he married Helen Linton (?-?) of Ontario. They had two children: George Russell Anderson (1907-?) and Margaret Rieta Anderson (1912-?).
