Businessman, municipal official, Mayor of Brandon (1946-1951).
After attending the Central School and Collegiate in Brandon, he joined the family business of North West Pump Company. He sold the business in 1955. He served on the Brandon city council for seven years then was Mayor of Brandon from 1946 to 1951, after being defeated narrowly in 1943 by Leslie Hill McDorman. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. He moved to Alberta and worked as a sales manager for a liquor manufacturer, retiring in 1958. He died at Calgary on 7 September 1960 and was buried in Brandon Cemetery. He is commemorated by Williamson Drive in Brandon.
