Theatre owner.
Born around 1878, he came to Winnipeg in 1910 and was one of the original owners of the Stag Billiard Parlor on Donald Street. He then went into the motion picture business and owned the Colonial Theatre on Main Street and later the Regent Theatre and Fox Theatre. He was among the first to show "talkies". In 1936, he went into partnership with Western Theatres and Famous Players, retiring from active business in 1945 when he sold his interests to his general manager and Western Theatres. He was a member of the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, B'nai B'rith, YMHA, Variety Club of Canada, and Motion Picture Pioneers. He died at his Winnipeg home, Suite C4 Lanark Apartments, on 23 September 1960 and was buried in the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
