Farmer, historian.
Born at Derbyshire, England on 11 November 1898, son of physician Eugene Walters (1864-1934) and Eva Needham (1867-1945), he came to Canada with his famiy in 1904 and settled in Winnipeg. He moved to the Petersfield area in 1916 and spent most of his life there raising poultry and cattle, growing alfalfa, and hauling fish. On 3 January 1927, he married Minnie Ellen Foord (?-1989) at Winnipeg and they had three daughters and two sons. A keen amateur historian who learned to speak the Metis dialect Bungee, he was well known for his historical writing, including the self-published book Pieces of the Past: A Collection of Tales of Old Red River (c1990). He died at Selkirk on 28 January 1995.
