Memorable Manitobans: Arthur G. B. Vale (c1890-?)Educator. Born in England around 1890, son of George Vale (c1861-?), he attended school and teacher training at Cheltenham and taught for two and a half years before moving to Canada in 1911. He upgraded his teaching credentials to Canadian regulation at the Saskatoon Normal School (1912-1913) and obtained his First Class Teaching Certificate. He was Principal of Wakaw School (1914-1917) and Theodore School (1921) in Saskatchewan. In Manitoba, he worked for the Brandon School District as Principal of King George School (1922-1926). Upon resigning in June 1926, he was given a gold signet ring by his colleauges. His whereabouts after 1926 are not yet determined.
