Memorable Manitobans: Ronald Frederick “Ron” Thompson (1943-2011)

Broadcaster.

Born at Winnipeg on 6 January 1943, he worked as a broadcaster for 37½ years, many of them as the weatherman at CKX Television in Brandon where he was known for the signature line “easy does it.” He died at Brandon on 16 January 2011.
