Banker.
Born in Ontario on 31 May 1863, he was appointed manager of the Union Bank at Hartney (1898-?), later living at Lacombe (Alberta), Skeena (British Columbia, c1909) and Edmonton (Alberta, c1910), before arriving at Winnipeg. On 28 September 1892, he married Annie Eliza Alcock (1869-1963) in the RM of Winchester and they had five children: Muriel Frederica Strathy (1895-1980, wife of ? Frost), David Eric Strathy (1898-1972), Ralph Alison Strathy (1900-1986), Annie Doris Strathy (1902-?), Lois Maurine Strathy (1907-2011), Ivan Keith Strathy (1910-1996), and Phyllis Lydia Lorraine Strathy (1915-?). The family lived at 166 Harvard Street (c1911) and 164 Harrow Street (1912-1916). He may have died around 1932.
