Journalist.
Born on 19 October 1952, he grew up at Edmonton, Alberta. After graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the 1970s, he began a career in journalism at weekly Alberta newspapers then moved to the Lethbridge Herald before moving to Winnipeg to join the newly-established Winnipeg Sun in the 1980s, initially as its Legislative Reporter and later City Editor and Managing Editor.
In the 1990s, he joined CBC Radio Winnipeg as its News Director. Later, he moved to the Manitoba Teachers' Society where he created magazines and websites, retiring in April 1921, but continuing as a periodic columnist in the Winnipeg Free Press. He was married twice, first to reporter Wendy Stephenson and later to Shirley Muir.
He died at Winnipeg on 5 December 2021.
