Community activist.

Born at Regina, Saskatchewan in 1910, the eleventh child of Jacob and Malka Wasserman, whose father was the first Rabbi on the prairie west of Winnipeg and was among the Jewish pioneer farmers at Wapella in 1889, she was orphaned as a child and was raised by her siblings. After retirement in 1982, she remained active in the Jewish community. In 1986 she wrote a chapter on Manitoba and Saskatchewan for the book Pathways to the Present: Canadian Jewry and Canadian Jewish Congress. She served on the board of the Jewish Historical Society of Western Canada, and chaired the JHS publication committee which produced the books Jewish Life and Times in 1985 and 1988.
