Community activist.
She actively supported recent immigrants to Manitoba as a member of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advocacy and Advisory Council, especially in areas that helped to improve the quality of life of women, their families, and communities. In recognition of her community service, she was inducted into the Order of Manitoba (2015). Predeceased by husband of 64 years Dr. Sobharam Singh (1932-2022), she died at Winnipeg on 19 May 2023.
