Educator.
Born at Ethelbert in 1938, one of two children of Peter W. Sherman (1902-2002) and Sophie Woronchak (1905-1990), he taught in several rural Manitoba schools, including Camp Shilo Schools (1960-1961) then spent 25 years as an administrator, guidance counsellor, and teacher in the Assiniboine South School Division, serving as Principal of Shaftesbury High School (1970). He and wife Elizabeth "Liz" Pachkowski had three daughters. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the board for the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba. He died at his Winnipeg home on 14 December 2013.
