Memorable Manitobans: Mendel Alvin Rosenfeld (1928-2001)
Community activist.
Born at Halifax, Nova Scotia on 7 February 1928, he came to Winnipeg in 1949. Most of his career was spent as Executive Director, first at Rosh Pina Synagogue for 21 years and then at Bnay Abraham Synagogue for another seven years. He died at Winnipeg on 1 May 2001 and was buried in Bnay Abraham Cemetery.
