Memorable Manitobans: Crawford Rose (1898-?)Physician. Born in the Rural Municipality of Odanah on 6 August 1898, he attended Hazelwood School until grade 8 then went to the Minnedosa High School. He worked on the family farm until he decided to attend the Brandon Normal School. He worked at Norway House as a teacher then attended Medical School. He practiced in Radisson (Saskatchewan), Coleman (Alberta) and Aurora (Ontario), where he was also a city councillor and eventually Mayor. Sources:Voices of Yesteryear [Audiocassette], 1982.
