Memorable Manitobans: Trudy Robinson (c1935-2006)Community activist. Born and raised up in Winnipeg’s North End, she assisted in the construction, design and furnishing of Holiday Haven Nursing Home and eventually became its administrator. She was active in charity organizations, a life member of Hadassah and Ort. She spearheaded a committee of 20 women who successfully lobbied the government for funding for the building of CancerCare Manitoba. She died on 7 December 2006.
