Memorable Manitobans: Walter Riddell (1882-?)Physician and surgeon. Born at Glasgow, Scotland, 1882. Son of Agnes Mary and John Riddell. Educated at St. Mary’s College, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Hospital Royal Infirmary, 1908; Duke St. Hospital, Glasgow (Junior Medical Officer); post-graduate work, Edinburgh one year; assistant with Doctors Carmichael and Allan, Barrow and Furness, England; was with Dr. Vaughan at Diss in Norfolk, England; came to Canada, 1912, Hartley; moved to Lauder, 1914-19; returned to Hartney, 1919-25. Medical Health Officer. Member, Manitoba Medical Association. Member, Masonic Fraternity. Recreations: Curling, golf and tennis. Address, Hartney, Manitoba.
