Farmer, businessman.
Born at Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, England on 13 April 1892, son of Harry St. Clair Richmond (1859-1928), he immigrated to Canada in 1912 and farmed near Mather until 1925. During the First World War, he served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
In 1925, he joined the staff of Manitoba Pool Elevators, eventually serving as Corporate Secretary (1949-1957) until retirement. He was then associated with Canadian Wheat Producers Limited until 1962.
He was married twice, first on 26 September 1923 to Mary Cecilia Seal (1892-1924) at Winnipeg with whom he had a son, Arthur John Seal “Jack” Richmond (1924-2016). On 1 June 1935, he married Reta Mary Loadman (1906-1970) at Winnipeg and they had a son, Alan Gordon Richmond. He was a member of the Niakwa Country Club.
He died at Winnipeg on 17 May 1982.
