Memorable Manitobans: Rhodes Scholars of Manitoba

The Rhodes scholarships were established in 1902 by the estate of British-born, South African businessman Cecil John Rhodes (1853-1902) and the first awards in Canada were made in 1904. It enables recipients to study for two or three years at the University of Oxford and is widely considered the world’s most prestigious scholarship. The following students from Manitoba have been selected to receive a Rhodes scholarship.
