Memorable Manitobans: Bruce Earle “Bones” Rathbone (1947-2017)Concert promoter. Born at Winnipeg on 13 January 1947, one of five children of June Margaret Stevenson (?-2017) and Ernest Clifford Rathbone (1923-1988), he was partners with Sam Katz in Nite Out Entertainment. They were responsible for bringing major musical acts to Winnipeg and western Canada during the 1980s and 1990s, including The Rollings Stones, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Paul Simon, and Pearl Jam.
