Memorable Manitobans: Paul Proulx (1839-1918)

Farmer, Metis leader.

Born on 25 January 1839, he was a cousin of Louis Riel, and was seen with him in a famous photograph taken at the Red River Settlement in 1869. He died at Ste. Anne des Chenes, Manitoba on 10 April 1918. He was the grandfather of O. J. D. Proulx.
