Businessman, community activist.
Born at Winnipeg on 1 September 1912, he was the owner and operator of Acme Garment in Winnipeg and Aetna Garment In Altona. He fundraised for social, business and philanthropic organizations and took great interest in bettering the community in which he lived. He served as President of the Garment Manufacturers Association, was a member of the B’nai B’rith Century Club, was a director of the YMHA 50th Anniversary Celebrations, and served a term as President of the Herzlia Synagogue. His passion was for a little synagogue at Winnipeg Beach. He served as its president and was instrumental in the sale of beach property on which the synagogue sat, and its relocation to a site at Camp Massad. He died at Winnipeg on 14 August 2006.
