Memorable Manitobans: Harry Olensky (1923-2005)Farmer, municipal official. Born at Winnipeg on 31 August 1923, he went on to become a businessman and farmer in the Lac du Bonnet area, raising cattle and honey bees with his wife Jean Sieg (1936-2015). Having a strong interest in politics, he was a Co-operative Commonwealth Federation candidate for the Lac du Bonnet constituency in the 1958 provincial general election and also served as Reeve of the Lac du Bonnet Municipality (1959-1965).
