Memorable Manitobans: Dennis William Moylan (1930-1992)Lawyer, civil servant. Born at Edinburgh, Scotland on 11 November 1930, son of William and Beatrice Moylan, he received an honours degree from Oxford University in 1953 and, three years later, was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. He came to Canada in 1957 and had a private practice at Winnipeg until 1966 when he joined the Manitoba Attorney-General's Department. He rose to become senior crown counsel, representing the government in provincial courts and at the Supreme Court of Canada. He was appointed a Queen's Counsel (1971). He retired in 1986.
