Memorable Manitobans: Peigi “Faye” Morgan-Hayes (1928-2005)

Fundraiser, community activist.

Born at Westminster, British Columbia in 1928, eldest daughter of Philip and Dorothy Morgan, she worked as a marketer and fundraiser. She was recognized nationally for her work with the disabled community and received many awards including the City of Winnipeg Outstanding Volunteer (1984), Manitoba Sports Federation Outstanding Volunteer of the Year (1985), YMCA-YWCA Woman of the Year (1987), Order of Canada (1989), Order of the Buffalo Hunt (1991), and Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (1999). She died at Winnipeg on 28 October 2005.
