Memorable Manitobans: Albert J. “Al” Miller (1924-2014)

Musician, band leader.

As a self-taught saxophone player and leader of the Al Miller Band, he performed at countless banquets, legions, retirement homes, weddings, and other events around Winnipeg for over 70 years. A veteran of the Second World War, he served as President of the Main Street Legion. He died at Winnipeg on 18 September 2014.
