Golfer.
Born at Souris on 17 December 1945 to Muriel Amelia Christie (1915-2006) and Gordon Edgar McCulloch (1916-1990), he spent the majority of his career in the sales and marketing area of agricultural crop protection. He had an enthusiasm for sales and made many lifelong friends in the industry. In 1996, he lost 97% of his vision, forcing him to retire from the job he loved. He accepted the challenge with grace. His positive attitude and lifelong passion for golf led him to become part of the community of blind golfers. He subsequently travelled the world competing and winning many golf tournaments, highlighted by him winning the World Blind Golf Championship at Winnipeg in 2002. He loved lake life and spent time at Whytewold, Black Duck (Minnesota), and Minaki (Ontario). He was proud of his hometown roots and enjoyed sharing his childhood memories and experiences with family and friends. With his wife Barbara McCulloch, he had two children. He died at Winnipeg on 12 May 2006.
