Police officer, entrepreneur, artist.
Born at Hnausa on 2 June 1932, son of Gudrun and Gunsi Martin, he joined the RCMP in 1950, later going into sales of farm equipment, investments and then real estate. He owned and operate a variety of businesses such as the Shoreliner Motel, Harbour Hobbies and the Gimli Theatre. He was instrumental in establishing the Gimli Public Art Committee and chaired it from 1999 to 2008. He was a long-time member of the Gimli Art Club. He died at Winnipeg on 6 June 2008.
