Memorable Manitobans: Fletcher Markle (1921-1991)

TV producer.

Born in Winnipeg on 27 March 1921, son of George W. Markle, he was active on the CBC by the time he was 20. He served in the RCAF, worked for the BBC, and in the United States became the producer of “Studio One”, the famous CBS television drama series of the early 1950s.
