Agricultural economist.
Born on 30 August 1940, son of Hugh Richard Loyns (1911-1989) and Laura Anne Orchard, he received a doctoral degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of California (Berkeley) and taught at the University of Manitoba for many years. He died on 15 February 2025.
