Memorable Manitobans: William Lobur (1916-1999)

School trustee, community activist.

Born at Senkiw, Manitoba on 14 October 1916, he served as the secretary for Senkiw School District, as trustee and secretary of Pankey Plains School District and thirteen years as strustee of Ward Six of School Division. He also served as President of the Congregation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of St. Mary for many years. He died at Steinbach, Manitoba on 28 May 1999.
