Farmer, artist.
Born at Joncret, Belgium on 1 December 1894, son of Julie Lemiez (1960-1945), he came to Canada with his mother and sister in 1911 and homesteaded near Grahamdale where he built a small house. He spent a lifetime painting in oil and, in his later years, creating life-sized sculptures which he displayed in his house and yard, and happily showed to visitors. He died unmarried at Eriksdale on 13 May 1984 and was buried in the Grahamdale United Cemetery.
