Memorable Manitobans: E. Shirley Lee (?-2000)
Writer, community volunteer.
She was a literarily inclined individual and was a member of the Winnipeg Writer’s Club and the Winnipeg Poetry Society. Many of her poems were published in Canadian publications. She was also a founding member and eventually President of the Schoolmasters’ Wives Association and volunteering with the Girl Guides and the Craft Guild of Manitoba.
She died at Winnipeg on 18 August 2000.
